Myofascial Stretching Class |
| We are pleased to announce that we are offering Myofascial Stretching Classes to our active clients. Myofascial stretching is the perfect complement to our massages and is something we do not have time to get to during our regular sessions. We have a limit of 5 per class due to limited space and for now are not requiring registration but will if classes start to fill. Class topics and sessions are listed below. Private One-on-One Sessions - Class times a problem for you? Don't like the class environment? Let us work stretching into your regular session. Let Jaja or Marilyn know in advance what you would like to work on and we will customize a stretching program for you and go over it with you in your next session. You will still need to purchase the book and ball(s) but it will be well worth it. Cost for the session is the same as a regular massage session. BACK OF THE SHOULDER Fatigue when reaching? Tight traps? Stiff neck? This class is for you. LATERAL TRUNK Back stiffness? Trouble reaching overhead? Can't twist like used to? Come stretch with us! ABDOMEN AND FRONT OF HIP Uncomfortable when you get up from a sitting position or when going up stairs? Persistent hip pain? This class is for you! . HIPS AND BUTTOCKS Stiff hips? Low back pain? Leg and foot pain? This class is for you. UPPER LEG AND FOOT Plantar fasciitis? Foot pain? Tight outer thigh (IT band) or inner thigh? This class is for you. GENERAL STRETCHES All purpose stretches for multiple body parts at once. Now for the important part: We are requiring everybody to buy the Myofascial Stretching book for $25 and the yellow ball for $5. We are not making any money on these items and are selling them for our cost. We feel that you will need these items to keep up with your stretches at home and to have as reference for class time. Classes are $5 each for 45 minutes but you can save a little by buying a punch card ($45 [non-refundable] for 10 punches). We feel that we it is important for our clients to have tools they can use between sessions to keep limber. To qualify for class, you must be an active client that means that you need to have a massage at least every 2 months.
